Become a part of history.
The Skaneateles Historical Society has an extensive collection of books, ledgers, photos, newspapers, articles, genealogical information, and other materials in our archives that relate to the history of Skaneateles.
We have a knowledgeable staff to help answer questions and help with research, including a town and a village historian. There are also links to other helpful people and organizations.
Volunteer researchers are available to assist by appointment only.
Internships
Our internships provide a immersive experience in historical research, and the social sciences. We focus on the Skaneateles township as well as the surrounding Fingerlakes area. Other volunteer assignments include administrative services as well as tour guides and more.
